The Costessey Materials Recycling Facility (MRF), operated by Norfolk Environmental Waste Services (NEWS), receives and processes 65,000 tonnes of dry, recyclable household waste each year.

Senior Production Manager

NEWS is currently seeking to employ (on a rotating shift-pattern basis) a Senior Production Manager, suitably qualified in electrical-mechanical engineering, to manage the ongoing Maintenance and Production Planning at this facility.
Working closely with the Facility Manager, the successful applicant will manage all maintenance activities, stock control requirements and the effective utilisation of all production and maintenance staff within an agreed budget framework. Key to the role will be the identification, development and implementation of process improvements that will maximise plant efficiency and the quality of the processed materials.
The successful applicant will be an assertive, self-sufficient individual and will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication, time management and leadership skills. The salary package available for this key role will reflect the skills and experience of the successful applicant.

Chargehand Fitter

NEWS is currently seeking to employ (on a permanent 2200hrs - 0600hrs shift) a Chargehand Fitter, suitably qualified in electrical-mechanical engineering, to lead a small maintenance team at this facility.
Reporting directly to the Senior Production Manager, the successful applicant will assist with the management of all planned and reactive maintenance activities and the planning, delivery and monitoring of process improvements.
The successful applicant will need to have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate a disciplined and rigorous approach to motivate and support the existing maintenance team in order to ensure the optimum performance of the MRF.
A competitive hourly rate of pay will be paid for this key role.
