Norse takes over College security

Norse Commercial Services won a major accolade at the prestigious annual Practical Facilities Management (PFM) Awards 2009.

The company, in conjunction with Lowestoft College, were announced as winners in the Partners for Skills Development in FM category, which evaluated partnerships between an FM company and training and education organisations, to develop the competencies and skills of the FM team from apprentice level to senior management.

“It is a great honour to receive the praise of our peers with this award,” commented Norse HR Director Tricia Fuller, “and it is recognition of our commitment to learning and development as key to growing the skill levels of the workforce we deliver to our FM clients.”

To fulfil its many and various skills-expansion needs, Norse has built a symbiotic course-development relationship with Lowestoft College, tailoring existing or creating new courses as appropriate.

Katy Cassidy, Head of Employer Training Services at Lowestoft College said, “We are really pleased to have been involved in such a successful and exciting partnership with Norse.  It shows that developing really good partnerships enables you to support so many people and help them to gain qualifications and improve their career prospects.”
