Norse retains Police Authority cleaning contract
May 2010

Polished performance - Ruth Metcalf, Norse Commercial Director with Stephen Hull, Client Manager for Cambridgeshire Police.
Norse has been re-awarded a three year, with two 12-month extensions, contract to supply cleaning services to Cambridgeshire Police Authority.
The contract is worth £1.8 million over the initial three-years, and will be Norse’s third term with the Authority, having retained the contract since 2000.
Services provided by Norse include administration and operational building cleaning, along with specialist cleaning, such as cell cleans, in police stations across Cambridgeshire.
Retaining the contract amid such a tough round of tendering was achieved not only through Norse’s record of fine service but because of a highly competitive and compelling bid. Stephen Hull, Client Manager for Cambridgeshire Police, who has overseen Norse’s work since 2002, says: “Norse has provided a consistently high standard of service, often going well beyond the call of duty in terms of delivering services, improving performance and offering value for money. It’s not a case of ‘Cambridgeshire Police and Norse’ – as two separate entities – it’s a real partnership between us, which I believe is so important.”
“Retaining this contract for a third term is a great testament to our achievements and the partnership we have developed over the years with Cambridgeshire Police Authority”, commented Norse Commercial Director Ruth Metcalf. “Norse places great value on long-term relationships, as they enable us to maximise our operating effectiveness and efficiencies within client environments.” |
