NCH&C awards Norse Hotel Services tender

Norse has won a major facilities management services contract with NHS Norfolk Community Health and Care, worth £2.2 million a year.
The contract, for an initial three years, with 4 x 12 month extensions, covers a range of soft FM services including building cleaning, catering, pest control, security, portering, and feminine hygiene.
A variety of Norfolk NHS establishments are covered by the contract including Community Hospitals, Health Centres and clinics, and offices across the county.
Mark Page, Head of Facilities for Norfolk Community Health and Care (NCH&C) said: “Norse Commercial Services provided a comprehensive bid which impressed the tender evaluation panel with its innovative, efficient and comprehensive approach to running this service.
“As a current provider NCS has delivered an excellent service, demonstrating their commitment to delivering continued high standards to our patients. We are confident that Norse will use their experience and wide range of resource to ensure this contract goes from strength to strength.”
“This is a very prestigious contract for Norse,” said Geoff Tucker, the company’s Sales Director, “won against a short list containing a number of large national FM suppliers. We are pleased to be able to build upon the existing agreements we have with other NHS establishments in the region. This agreement takes the annual value our total healthcare portfolio to over £12 million”
Over 200 staff TUPE transfered when the contract commenced in April 2010. |
