June 2010

Norse Group, the holding company for Norse Commercial Services and NPS Group, has climbed two places in the Eastern Daily Press Business Guide 2010 Top 75.
The annual guide to the East Anglian economy and the region’s top 75 business, places Norse Group at number nineteen, up from twenty one in 2009.
In terms of turnover, at £156 million (up 12% year-on-year) the group is 14th in the rankings for Norfolk based companies. Norse also returned the 5th highest increase in turnover amongst Norfolk companies, in a climate when many of the county’s businesses showed static or even negative financial growth.
With 5,376 staff, the company is second only to Aviva as the county’s largest private sector employer and third, behind Green King, as the largest in the region.
“Norse Group is going from strength to strength,” commented Managing Director Mike Britch. “Our diverse service offering, ranging from property and building consultancy to facilities management, contract services, joint venture operations and waste services, has given the group both financial strength and commercial flexibility.”
“We are looking forward to a dynamic 2010/11, which is already opening up new opportunities to build on our client-oriented, innovative approach to business in both the private and public sectors,” he concluded. |
