Through partnerships with local authorities Norse Commercial Services provides comprehensive and flexible waste collection services to the residents of North Norfolk, Great Yarmouth and the Suffolk Coastal areas centred on Woodbridge. At the centre of the services is the domestic refuse collection, serving over 150,000 homes throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.

The majority of our customers enjoy a service that embraces Green waste and household re-cycling options, thus reducing, in line with Government and EU targets, the amount of waste that goes to landfill and ultimately the harmful effect of greenhouse gases.

The Norse Trade Waste service provides local businesses with a service that can be tailored to their own particular requirements. The company operates a comprehensive range of wheeled containers, available at extremely competitive rates and, in certain areas, can offer a straightforward, efficient and low-cost recycling service to enable businesses to contribute to the drive for a safer, more sustainable environment.

The scope of our waste management services is further broadened by contracts operated down the East coast, from Norfolk to Essex. Norse supplies the workforce for Materials Recycling Facilities (MRF) in Norwich and at Tilbury. These facilities process hundreds of thousands of tonnes of household recyclable waste per year, helping to reduce that which is sent to landfill.

Through its subsidiary partnership company with Suffolk Coastal District Council, SCS Ltd, Norse also operates a waste management and recycling service at the largest container port in the UK; Port of Felixstowe. The Felixstowe operation has delivered outstanding results, raising the rate of recycling from zero to almost 50% of total waste since 2006. This achievement was integral to Norse retaining the contract during the re-tendering process in 2008.
